How to read the colors
The same six colors run through the analysis results, the clips in Resolve, and the Review
window. Work the oranges first, then a pass over the rest. For each flag you choose: fix it in
Premiere and re-analyze, or send as-is and let the flag travel with the package so nothing is
forgotten. Analysis only reads your project — it never changes it.
Error fix before you conform
- Media offline. Clips were offline at analysis. Add the right folder and
re-analyze before you send, or they arrive missing in Resolve.
Warning won't transfer; rebuild in Resolve
- Clip effects present. Color corrections and third-party filters don't
transfer — each is listed to rebuild in the grade. (Transforms, crop, opacity and composite
modes do carry across.)
- Warp Stabilizer present. Premiere bakes stabilization into its render —
re-apply it in Resolve.
Review verify after import
- Approximate retime. Variable speed ramps are reconstructed — verify
against the edit.
- Video transition approximated. Most transfer natively; any without a
native match fall back to a Cross Dissolve.
- Reverse playback, nested sequences, multicam, collapsed tracks, heuristic
scaling. Choices you made or best guesses worth a quick look.
Rebuilt done for you — spot-check
- Solid-color generators. Color Matte and Black Video are rebuilt natively
as Resolve generators — a pixel-faithful fill, worth a quick spot-check. (A solid shaped by an
opacity mask arrives full-frame, flagged to rebuild the mask.)
Info a note; usually nothing to do
- Reframing & scaling, constant speed, clip gain, channel selection, audio
effects, audio crossfades, Premiere markers, opacity keyframes, freeze frames, Lumetri
settings. Rebuilt as native Resolve equivalents or carried across automatically;
verify if you like.
Placeholder a stand-in you'll replace
- Adjustment layers, graphics, synthetic media. Arrive as disabled
placeholders — drop in the finals in Resolve.
Where the flags go
Flags travel with the handoff: as markers, clip colors, and a conform report inside the
.konform package, and as the checklist in the Review window during
the grade — tick a clip reviewed and its marker and color clear from the timeline. The same
guidance the editor saw appears next to every clip.

the roundtrip comparison. For the
workflow around analysis, see the docs.
