What arrives
A Baselight scene, cut for cut.
- Picture
- Every clip on every video track, in its stacking order.
- Framing
- Position, scale, rotation, crop, opacity, and flips.
- Blend modes
- All of Premiere's blend modes.
- Nested sequences
- Opened out, with the nest's motion.
- Timing
- Speed changes, reverse, freeze frames, and speed ramps, frame for frame. Footage at another frame rate plays at the cut's rate.
- Transitions
- Cross dissolves, and dips to black and to white. Wipes and other transitions arrive as a dissolve, and the results page names them.
- Color mattes
- With their framing and opacity.
- Markers and start timecode
- Your markers as Baselight marks, and the sequence's start timecode, drop frame included.
- Media
- Camera RAW is carried. A missing file arrives as an empty strip under the file's name.
What does not arrive
The results page lists each of these on the clip it affects, before you send.
- Sound: Baselight takes the picture only.
- Titles, graphics and MOGRTs, and adjustment layers.
- Captions.
- Your reference render. Add it as a track in Baselight to compare against it.
How the send works
Choose Baselight
When your license covers more than one system, a switch above the results picks where the cut goes. Choose Baselight and the list describes what Baselight will carry; the button reads Send to Baselight.
Choose where the scene goes
Pick the job, on this Mac or on a grading suite's database.
Send
Baselight can be open when you send. The cut arrives as a new scene in that job.

Questions
Can I conform a Premiere project in Baselight without XML?
Yes. Konformista reads the native .prproj and builds the cut in Baselight itself: a new scene in the job you choose. Before you send, the results page lists anything Baselight will not carry, on the clip it affects.
Where does the cut land?
In a new scene in the Baselight job you choose, on this Mac or on a grading suite's database.
Does the sound come across?
No. Baselight takes the picture only.
Do nested sequences stay nested?
No. They arrive opened out, with the nest's motion.
Do titles and captions come across?
No. Titles, graphics, adjustment layers, and captions are not carried. The results page lists each one on the clip it affects, before you send.
Which version of Baselight does it work with?
Baselight 7 on macOS.
